Topical aciclovir

Aciclovir creams are applied to the affected area at the first signs (itching, tightness). Follow the frequency and duration according to the leaflet; topical forms act at the site of application.

Care and repair

Dexpanthenol is used to soothe and repair irritated skin after the acute phase subsides. Avoid touching and transferring the virus to the eyes or other people.

When to see a doctor

See a doctor for very frequent or extensive outbreaks, lesions near the eyes, high fever, severe pain, no resolution, or if you have a weakened immune system or eczema — a different therapy may then be needed.
